Conformity requires the support of a technical file (&#8220;UKCA compliance report&#8221;) in which the conformity of the product is shown, from the design and manufacturing phase to the final tests, to the UKCA Regulations and applicable designated standards.<\/p>\n<p>The place of manufacture of the product must also be indicated, as well as the addresses of the other facilities of the manufacturer.<\/p>\n<p>This document does not differ, in its essence, from a common CE technical file: in fact, in most cases, the engineer responsible for writing it carries out a &#8220;transposition&#8221;, adapting the pre-existing CE file to the British regulatory environment.<\/p>\n<h2>Technical documentation storage<\/h2>\n<p>The UKCA Declaration of Conformity, the technical file and any test reports or international certifications mentioned in the technical file must be kept for 10 years so that they may be immediately accessible in the event that a UK-MSA (UK Market Surveillance Authorities) request it.<\/p>\n<p>This responsability falls on the importer, unless the manufacturer assigns it to an <a href=\"https:\/\/easy-ukca.com\/en\/ukca-marking\/advantages-of-hiring-an-authorized-representative\/\">Authorized
